Adrian M. McKoy always knew that a story existed inside him. Before even writing his first sentence, the words were there. Growing up as a shy youth in Lacey, Washington, Adrian would often write short stories. The spark that helped to ignite his creativity was traditional Japanese legends and anime. He was captivated by the magic and classic storytelling.
While in graduate school, Adrian continued to develop his writing skills. During this time, he performed extensive research on Japanese mythology. His studies also led him to discover the origins of Yasuke, a young African samurai. This inspired Adrian to create Shield of Kami: Virtue.
He is appreciative of all his readers and his greatest hope is that he can instill the values of virtue and faithfulness.
